Surprise 40th Birthday
It’s a real privilege to be trusted with the décor for a milestone birthday and I always try that extra bit harder to make it really special.
I was contacted by a lady who wanted to surprise her husband on his 40th Birthday. She had already booked the venue….Nonnas In Chesterfield so the food was going to be fabulous and she wanted to dress the upstairs function room with tasteful décor that reflected his taste. The gentleman knew he was having a party, but had no idea that the room was going to be decorated especially for him
His wife came to see me at my workshop and over a cuppa, we got to work. Using the invitations as a starting point we looked at photos of the room, decided on a focal point and then built everything around that.
As there were varying in height tables we used 2 different styles of balloon displays. Both closely following the colour scheme of teal, green and silver. Smaller table displays with a mini number 40 along with smaller colour coordinated balloons. On the larger tables, we used the fabulous new Orbz balloons in an ombre green and personalised bubble balloons with custom made tassels.
To highlight the entrance we used 3 of the ombre orbz per arrangement and created a real welcome for the birthday guests.
To emphasise the 40th birthday we created a big balloon column with a giant number 40 in silver on the top and placed this on the dance floor in the middle of the panoramic window.
What a spectacular party and one that will be remembered for a long time to come.
