Real Life Weddings
I thought I would start a real life weddings blog hopefully to give some of you lovely brides to be a bit of inspiration and to show you how professional artistic balloons can make a huge difference to your wedding day.
Whilst I know and understand that balloons are not for everyone but please don’t discount them before you’ve seen what a difference they can make.
I also want to say a big thank you to all the lovely Brides I have had the privilege of working with over the last 24 years and yes I do remember each and everyone of you as every wedding is personal and many of my brides to be today were little bridesmaids when I first started out.
One of my favourite venues is Wortley Hall which is near Sheffield. I have decorated lots of weddings as you can imagine but helping Lina & Karl with their Venetian theme wedding day was super special as they allowed me to be creative and come up with a storyboard of ideas that would make their special day extra special.
The wedding breakfast was a traditional affair, lots of greenery, chair covers and a beautiful fabric swagged table front. The only clue to the evening reception in the ballroom was the absolutely fabulous Venetian themed cake which would have rivalled The Cake Boss creation, what do you think here it is?
We arrived early at Wortley Hall near Sheffield to prepare the wedding ceremony room and the wedding breakfast room. We dressed the wedding ceremony with lycra chair covers and burgundy voile sashes then moved onto the wedding breakfast room where we dressed the top table with luxurious burgundy satin and fresh ivory roses.
All set we then moved to our main focus dressing the ballroom at Wortley Hall.
We dressed all the chairs with white lycra chair covers and gold voile sashes which coordinated with the evening theme.
Then on to dressing the walls with hundreds of fairy lights to create a romantic atmosphere to a very sterile room.
The entrance to the room had a magnificent balloon swirl garland along with a huge gold balloon mask, it also included fairy lights for that extra sparkle and we mirrored this effect on the stage along with fabric swagging.
My most favourite part of the decor was the absolutely fabulous table centrepieces. Tall lily vases had gorgeous venetian masks that Lina provided along with ostentatious ivory feathers and lights.
Teaming up with mirror plates and sparkling gems these were absolutely beautiful table centrepieces. What do you think?
I have included some of the photographs we took in this blog and I hope you like them. I have to say a big thank you to Lina & Karl for letting me part of their very special wedding I thoroughly enjoyed it.
