“If something looks too go to be true then it usually is”
Ever heard that phrase before?
My Dad told me that when I was growing up and I always ginkgo about it when I see a “bargain”
You will perhaps have seen in the news the story about the young ladies who were duped on the internet to pay large amounts of money for wedding decor that never happened and the company in question has gone out of business leaving many brides out of pocket and no decorations.
They might have thought they were getting a bargain at the time but it has now become an expensive mistake.
As a wedding professional of almost 20 years I a sorry to say that I see this happen a lot and especially in the last couple of years. People set up business as a way of acquiring ‘easy money’.
People perceive the wedding business is ripe for ripping people off and making a quick buck. They soon find out that this is not true and rapidly go bust. Being a wedding professional is really hardwork, you work unsociable hours and if you truly care about your clients the wedding becomes personal, you want to do your very best so that the bride &groom have a truly special day.
The wedding professionals I work with are all full time and members of their professional body and have completed lots of training courses and have been involved in thousands of weddings. In my hints and tips ebook I point out the questions you need to ask when meeting a potential supplier & how to avoid some of the pitfalls.
