A Champagne Reception
In September I was asked to help Jane with her wedding decorations and as she loved champagne (don’t we all?) that was to be the theme of her wedding reception. Could I help?
First of all Jane was getting married at one of my favorite venues, Tankersley Manor near Barnsley. The Tankersley Suite is huge and really lends itself to my type of décor.
As Jane lives in Ireland she had sourced lots of things from the Internet including chair covers for her civil ceremony. I was to be different Jane wanted to be sure that she had the right person to bring her ideas to life so wanted to meet me in person at my workshop in Rotherham.
We arranged a time and Jane came along with her Mum and we had a great time chatting through her ideas and getting to know each other. I really think that it’s important to listen to Brides to Be, noting down their likes and dislikes and then coming up with ideas that hopefully fulfill their dreams. It really helps when we ‘click’ and after our meeting I felt that I had found a new friend and I was determined to make her big day look fabulous.
I designed a champagne centerpiece that included Jane’s favorite tipple a bottle of the bubbly stuff, complete with mini balloon bubbles coming out of the neck of the bottle and bigger floating bubbles to give the centerpiece height as we were working with a very big room. We also managed to bring Jane’s bridesmaids colours into the centerpiece with Cadburys purple ribbon.
The piece de la resistance I think though for Jane and her new hubby was the exploding balloon. With the aid of a magic wand the 3ft balloon filled with a 100 mini balloons and flutter fetti exploded at the given moment when they were having their first dance and showered them with thousands of pieces of flutter-fetti and lots of mini balloons, encouraging their guests onto the dance floor to share the fun!
After the wedding Jane posted some photos on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ultimateballooncompany?ref=stream
She also wrote me a lovely thank you letter which I can share here:
Thank you Jacqui and all your team for creating the wonderful balloons and centerpieces at my wedding recently.
As you know people came from far and wide and each and everyone of them were really impressed with how the room looked and of course the fabulous exploding balloon.
I really enjoyed meeting you and you took away all the stress involved and delivered more than you promised. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone planning an event, you were a mine of information.
When I am back in Rotherham I will be sure to call in.
Thank you once again
